The goal of rehabilitation is “for the people with disorders to recover the right to live a humane life again”.
In our Rehabilitation Department, a variety of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, clinical psychotherapists and healthy exercise coaches are engaging in their work day after day with making effective use of their expertise.

At this hospital

  • We offer rehabilitation programs in order to increase patients’ (users’) remaining abilities (what they can do) and decrease their disabilities (what they cannot do) tailored to their own conditions.
  • We provide rehabilitation services 365 days a year.
  • We offer rehabilitation services as a team of rehabilitation staff members in order to provide them even when their usual rehabilitation staff member is absent.
  • You can receive rehabilitation in the hospital ward as well as in the training room.
  • We also emphasize in-home rehabilitation services after their leaving our hospital.

General Ward Rehabilitation Department

Intended Patients

Our rehabilitation services are provided to those patients suffering from cerebrovascular diseases (including neurological intractable diseases), respiratory diseases, locomotor diseases, etc. In addition, we offer short-term rehabilitation services to the patients suffering the aftereffects of brain infarction.

Rehabilitation Staff Members

9 physical therapists, 5 occupational therapists and 2 speech therapists

Features

We have developed a system in which your primary doctor, nurses and other professionals conduct your evaluations on the day you visit our hospital so that we can provide you with a rehabilitation program promptly. In addition, we are open 365 days a year for the purpose of offering uninterrupted services. Further, we always seek to provide more advanced services through our physical therapists qualified also as a certified respiratory therapist and a cardiac rehabilitation coach.

Recovery-Phase Rehabilitation Department

Intended Patients

This department is intended for the patients who have completed acute medical treatments for their stroke, fracture of lower limb or spine, etc. Here is a hospital ward where such patients, as well as undergoing a traditional rehabilitation program consisting solely of functional trainings for returning home and going back to a familiar community, receive rehabilitation programs individually, specifically and intensively from respective professionals with the aim to independently live a life at home after discharge.

Features

We staff our personnel in a way to enable the 365-day operation of our rehabilitation (training) programs. Moreover, we make it a rule to approach our tasks as a team to satisfy the needs of patients by designing program menus enabling to maximize their current abilities while collaborating with doctors, nurses and nursing care workers. Further, the staff members of this ward think about better ways for patients to live more comfortably and safely at home while discussing with and giving advices to the patients themselves and their family members regarding many things including how to help them as well as how to renovate their residence and set its environments in preparation for their return to the home.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Department

Intended Patients

This department is available to those patients with cerebrovascular disorders such as brain infarction/bleeding, neural intractable diseases or orthopedic diseases from bone fractures, etc.
* Please note that your medical insurance has some limitations in terms of the type of diseases, term, etc. in your using our rehabilitation services. Please check them with your doctor in receiving a medical consultation.

Rehabilitation Staff Members

3 physical therapists, 3 occupational therapists, 1 speech therapist, 1 healthy exercise coach and 1 rehabilitation assistant

Features

This department is reservation-only. Its physical therapists, occupational therapists, a speech therapist and a healthy exercise coach conduct trainings in accordance with the physical and mental conditions of respective patients. This department prepares various therapeutic instruments like non-weight bearing treadmills and PAS systems.

Home-Visit Rehabilitation Department

Intended Patients

This department deals mainly with those patients recognized under the nursing-care insurance scheme. Please contact us for details.

Features

  • To smoothly make use of and establish patients’ vital functions acquired while they are hospitalized/admitted in their living at home (including the improvements in their living environments)
  • To encourage patients’ involvement in the society (ambulatory-related services, etc.)
  • To control the decreasing mobility of patients (temporary one and others) which could occur in their daily life
* We engage in these rehabilitation services in a comprehensive manner instead of using just one of them as a medical means.
